Gilsland Hall Hotel

Very good staff and location, I really enjoyed to be here.

I had 1 night in Carlisle, spending my time here lovely. My check-in took a while. What's more, there's parking on-site.

Our stay here was brilliant, incredible base for exploring Gilsland. The restaurant had delicious food, appreciated it.

Loved to be here, the hotel was reasonably clean and pleasant, the location was fab to Hadrian's Wall. The food was outstanding, with plenty of options. The rooms were huge with 2 double beds. Accommodating, amicable personnel was in a relaxed manner.

The staff was knowledgeable & everything was amazing. The bedrooms were lovely. They made my stay perfect 10/10! Food was fine - a good choice of options.

Very lovely stay, we had all essentials. Breakfast had lots of brilliant food and drinks. In general staff were all fabulous and courteous. The service was good too. The airport was 24 minutes drive from the place.

Simple hotel, everything was spotless. The staff did all they can for a fab stay. Exceptionally good view, a little balcony, soft bed, too. The pool was heated and the garden — lovely. Local cuisine was served in the attached restaurant.

Professional people working here, interesting place. Good food combined with very good service. We were at the budget room, it had panoramic view. Nice garden outside. Very pretty location to Thirlwall Castle.

Cosy and overall clean place. The room was budget with 2 double beds. The restaurant here was amazing, we both ordered savoury dishes.

Informative staff, extremely nice and extra comfy room, remote location. I got free upgrade and loved it. Toast and cereal were superb as well as the drinks. The service was first-class too.

The accommodation was nicely appointed, pool was excellent, beds were nice. In my budget double room I had essentials needed, including refrigerator and utensils. Superb breakfast, hospitable service. Absolutely perfect location, just a short stroll away from a small mid-victorian anglican church. Also, I loved how prime the location was;))

My experience at this very elegant hotel was pleasant. Helpful staff, perfect location really close to a lovely river and all the Roman tourist places and Newcastle. Room was lovely and it had a brilliant bathroom. The bed I had was comfy.

Plentiful breakfast with plenty of options, truly relaxing and fairly clean place. Budget twin room is budget, we also loved impressive views. Very comfy beds & spacious bathroom.

The downtown is within 15 minutes' walk. Fruit and cereal were served for breakfast. Everything created a lovely atmosphere. All in all excellent value for money...

Staff were WELCOMING, wonderful base for a stopover. Lovely location, Carlisle Lake District airport was 25 km away.
